Gold and silver for precision and innovation – the products developed by Deutsche Mechatronics enjoy international success. The AMADA Forum in Isehara, Japan was impressed by the complex formed special-steel workpiece of the Mechernich systems supplier for mechanics, electronics and software. The component is used in high-
temperature fuel cells. It directs the exhaust gas out of the cell, and as a heat exchanger it heats the delivery air at the same time.
“The geometry and material layout and the manufacture of the special-steel parts was a particular challenge for us. Together with AMADA, we successfully mastered the challenge. This recognition from a leading international company in the industry is an honour for us”, says Dr. Karlheinz Sossenheimer, Managing Partner for Deutsche Mechatronics.
In Germany, Dr. Sossenheimer was presented the prize by Christof Behrend, the head of sales, and Ronald Schildt, the regional head of sales for AMADA GmbH.
The innovative strength of Deutsche Mechatronics has got people in the industry talking: in December 2007, the Mechernich company had already been awarded the Material Efficiency Prize for the successful implementation of “dynamic nesting” for optimal use of materials in sheet-metal processing. In April, Deutsche Mechatronics received the Industry Prize 2008 from the Medium-Sized Business Initiative (“Initiative Mittelstand”) for a fluid-cooled infrared drying module.
